Waukon- Funeral services will be held Saturday for Albert W. Jacobson, 44, World war veteran and lifelong resident of Paint Creek township who died suddenly at his home near Waterville Wednesday.

Mr. Jacobson was born on a farm four miles northwest of Waterville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jacobson, early farmers of that vicinity. His education was received in the schools there and when the World war broke out he enlisted in Company B of the Engineer Corps.

On Dec. 21, 1932, he was married at Kansas City to Miss Frances J. Carter, who survives along with four sisters, three brothers and his aged mother. The sisters are: Mrs. Norval Asleson of Chicago, Mrs. Otis Busness of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. George Sorenson of Waterville and Miss Bertha Jacobson of Washington, D.C. The brothers are: Carleton of Chicago and Oscar and Theodore, both of Paint Creek township. His mother lives near Waterville.

Mr. Jacobson was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church, a Legionnaire and a Mason.

His widow, Mrs. Frances Jacobson, is now serving her first term as supervisor of Allamakee county.
