Waukon- Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Waterville Lutheran church for Sander Jacobson, one of the best known residents of Waterville, who died at Iowa City where he had been the past ten days. During the past couple of years he had submitted to several serious operations. Services were conducted by the Rev. R. H. Wareberg and burial was made in the Waterville cemetery nearby.

Mr. Jacobson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jacobson, early residents of Paint Creek township. He was about 60 years of age and resided in that locality all his life. For a number of years he was engaged as a mail carrier, later being employed in the bank there, and of late years he sold life insurance.

Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter, Miss Althea, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Ingeman and Adolph of Waterville; Theodore, of Butte, Mont.; Otto, of LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. Adolph Fossum, residing east of Waukon.
