Mrs. Carl (Laura) Breeser, 82, New Albin, died in her home Saturday, April 23, following an apparent heart attack.

She was born June 30, 1894, in rural New Albin, to Mr. and Mrs. Gustave (Catherine Heuer) Pottratz. She married Carl Breeser on Feb 20. 1917, and they farmed in the area until retirement, when they moved to New Albin.

Survivors are her husband; three sons, Walter of New Albin, Robert of Caledonia, Minn., and Edward of Decorah; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Thomas of New Albin; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A son, two brothers, and five sisters preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wheatland, rural New Albin. Rev. James Parker will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the New Albin Chapel after 3 p.m Monday and Tuesday morning, and at the church Tuesday from 1 p.m until the services.

The Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
