Mrs. LaVinnie Van Brocklin, 101, Lansing, died Saturday, March 5, in a Postville nursing home, 13 days before her 102nd birthday.

She was born March 18, 1875, in Fayette County to Joseph and Lucinda Conner. She married Matthias Van Brocklin and he died in 1954.

Survivors are two sons, Harold of Lansing, and Ernest of Waukon; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Gander of West Union; 14 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Gager of West Union, and Mrs. Lola Love of Minneapolis, Minn.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, with Rev. Herbert Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery, Fayette County.
