Ake Nelson, 92, died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glen Kingsbery, in Wood, S.D., with whom he had made his home the past three years.

He was born Aug. 21, 1864, in Skåne, Sweden, and after coming to the United States at the age of 21, he had lived at various times in Houston County, Minnesota, Nebraska, and New Albin. He married Christene Carlson Oct. 7, 1893. She died in 1950.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Kingsbery, Mrs. Ebba Reburn of Sioux City, IA, Mrs. Walter Moe of New Albin, and Mrs. Ernie Lennox of La Crosse, WI; three sons, Gust of Royalton, MN, and Harry and Albert, both of New Albin; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin, the Rev. Roy L. Cawley officiating, and burial in the New Albin Cemetery. Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Home in Lansing, Tuesday evening, and at the church Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
