Mrs. Ruth F. Tufts passed away at the Eleanor Gund Nursing Home, La Crosse, WI, Thursday, June 6, 1963.

A daughter of Robert and Maria (Ruth) Angell, she was born march 7, 1875, at Lansing. At an early age, she moved to De Soto, WI, with her parents, where she lived until her marriage to Winchester Tufts which took place at Maiden Rock, WI, on Nov. 25, 1915. Following their marriage, they moved to New Albin where she lived until 1957 when she entered the nursing home. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, new Albin.

Her immediate survivors are two brothers, Ernest Angell of Parkside, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Curtis Angell of Lake City, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers, Edward, Frank, George and Ben Angell; and two sisters, Martha Kloak and Elizabeth Betts.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, at 1:00 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin, with the Rev. Milton Beeman officiating. Burial was made in the New Albin cemetery. Casketbearers were Earl Welsh, Leonard Heiderscheit, Frank Weymiller, les Dresselhaus, Paul H. Meyer and John Mendenhall.

Relatives from out of town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Angell, and Mrs. Rose McDonnell, Lake City, MN; Mr.a nd Mrs. Francis Angell, White Bear Lake, MN; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Engle, Anoka, MN; Mrs. Lavern Kujath, Hastings, MN; Mrs. Ruth Briese, and Mrs. and Mrs. Eugene Binner and family, Plainview, MN; Mr. and Mrs. Arnott Angell, Baraboo, WI; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Angell, East Dubuque, IL; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Angell, and Elmer and Jerry Becker, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Woodie Dyer, De Soto; and Robert Dyer, Ferryville, WI.
