Mrs. William (Esther) Hammel, 66, of New Albin, died Saturday, June 25, in St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, WI. She was born Oct. 29, 1910, in Mout Ayr, IA. She married William Hammel on Dec. 31, 1935.

Survivors are her husband; and two sisters, Mrs. Rosco (Neva) Mosberger of Des Moines, and Mrs. Alex (Daisy) Ulman of Oakland, CA.

Services were Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, with Rev. Carl Manternach officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, was in charge of arrangements.
