DONALD TULLY, 47, TRAFFIC VICTIM WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Donald Tully, 47, rural Brownsville, MN, became Houston County's first traffic accident of 1968 when his car left Minnesota Highway 26, just north of New Albin, Wednesday evening, Jan. 10.

Tully was found in his smashed car on the bank of Winnebago Creek about 10 p.m. by Sidney Blask, New Albin, according to Houston County Sheriff Byron Whitehouse. Sheriff's officers, the Highway Patrol and Houston County Coroner, Philip Utz, La Crescent, assisted in the investigation.

There were no passengers in the car.

Tully was on his way home from Lansing where he worked as an auto mechanic for Keenan Auto Sales. He had lived with his wife on their 160-acre farm 2-1/2 miles west of Reno.

Donald J. Tully was born March 10, 1920, at Lansing, to Frank and Mary (Hurm) Tully. he attended schools there and married Grace Wilson July 12, 1953. They had lived on the farm near Reno since their marriage. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brownsville.

Survivors are his wife; one brother, William of Lansing, and one sister, Mrs. Ray (Rita) laymen of Rialto, CA. His parents have died.

Funeral services were held Saturday, with arrangements by Burke Funeral Home, Lansing. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing. Rosary was said Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
