Evelyn B. Plagge, 76, of New Albin, died in the home of her daughter, Jeanne, Nov. 6, 1992. She was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Caledonia, MN, to Walter and Lydia (King) Krueger.

She married Norbert Plagge on Feb. 5, 1944, in Dubuque. She was a member of St. peter's United Church of Christ, New Albin, the Women's UCC Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Evelyn was a very special mother, grandmother and special friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Jerry (Dixie) Plagge of New Albin; two daughters, Jeanne Wurm of La Crosse, WI, and Renie Plagge of New Albin; three grandsons, Jerald "Sam" (Toni) Wurm of La Crosse, Joel Wurm of La Crosse, and B.J. Plagge of New Albin; a granddaughter, Jodi Eckert of La Crosse; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Bryan and Brittany Wurm, and Greg Eckert. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Joe Plagge.

Services will be held Monday , Nov. 9, 1992, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Albin. The Rev. Dennis Siebert will officiate. Burial will be in Wheatland Cemetery. Friends may call at New Albin Funeral Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 2 to 9 p.m.

Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, is in charge of arrangements.
