Earl J. Mack, 74, of 1011 S. 25th St., La Crosse, died on Monday, March 15, 1993, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. He was born on April 3, 1918, in New Albin, to Daniel and Anna (Coughlin) Mack. He married Anna B. Ikert Bernd on Sept. 12, 1964, in Freeburg, Minn. She died on March 2, 1993. Earl Worked at the La Crosse Southside K-Mart for 14 years and retired in 1982. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish and a member of the La Crosse Knights of Columbus Council 839.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Bert) Jenks Sr. of La Crosse; a son, Herman (Sharon) Bernd of La Crosse; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five nephews. In addition to his wife, Anna, he was preceded in death by a sister and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Msgr. Anthony P. Wagener will officiate. Spring burial will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Freeburg, Minn. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m., until the time of service. There will be a Bible vigil Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
