Beulah May Steele, 86, of New Albin, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1994, at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, WI.

She was born May 5, 1908, in New Albin, the daughter of Charles and Ollie (May) Kester.

Beulah married Howard Steele Aug. 20, 1928, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He died May, 1969.

Beulah is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Edwina Steele of New Albin; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Richards of Sundance, WY; five grandchildren, David Steele, Jr., Tammy Diersen, Alan Richards, Loren Richards, and Tracy Treichel; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Kester of New Albin, and Wayne Kester of Davenport.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 27, at Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin. Pastor Tom Mattson officiated.

Pallbearers were David Steele Jr., Jeremy Treichel, Loren Richards, Dustin Richards, Alan Richards, and Travis Richards. Honorary pallbearers were Tammy Diersen and Tracy Treichel.

Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, was in charge of arrangements.
