CALEDONIA, MN--Vincent B. Strub, 66, died Monday, Jul 7, while working on his farm. he was pronounced dead on arrival from an apparent heart attack in a La Crosse, WI, hospital.

He was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Lansing, to Frank and Catherine (Ferring) Strub.

On May 3, 1938, he married Edna Halvorson in Decorah, and they farmed near Caledonia for 18 years.

Sturb had been an auctioneer in the area for 32 years.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Robert of Lansing, Duane of Caledonia, and Ronald of La Crescent, MN; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Kathryn) Can Brocklin of Lansing, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Downer of Aurora, IA, Mrs. John (Elaine) Burg of Caledonia, and Mrs. Karen Schulte of La Crescent; 26 grandchildren; three brothers, Mark and Ray, both of Dubuque, and Nick of New Albin; and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Weipert and Mrs. Rita Garrett, both of Lansing, and Mrs. Lavern (Mildred) Bookholder of Freeport, IL.

One son, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Steffen Funeral Home, Caledonia, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. The Rev. Richard Speltz will officiate and burial will be in Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.

Friends may call at the funeral home today after 2 p.m., with a rosary at 8 p.m.
