Lloyd Schroeder, 63, New Albin, died Thursday, may 28, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, WI.

He was born May 19, 1918, in Caledonia, MN, to August and Esther (Rotande) Schroeder. He married Cora Reinke on June 21, 1947, in Caledonia, and the couple lived in the Caledonia and New Albin areas all their married life.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army's 34th Division in the European theater.

He was employed by the Meyer Logging Co. of New Albin.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ordell (Rita) Torgerson of Canton, MN, Mrs. Gene (Betty) Schwirtz of Caledonia, and Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Schmoll of Mansfield, OH; nine grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Esther Schroeder of New Albin; and one sister, Mrs. Otto (Audrey) Luttchens of New Albin.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Caledonia. The Rev. Marvin Doelger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia.

Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, Sunday afternoon and evening, and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m until the services.
