John Fink passed away early Friday morning at St. Francis Hospital in La Crosse, WI, following a several months illness.

John was born in French Creek Township on February 2, 1888, a son of the late Nickolas and Mary (Colsch) Fink. On September 17, 1913, he was united in marriage to Mayme Arndt at French Creek Methodist Church, making their home on a farm in French Creek until the year of 1920 when they moved to New Albin.

He is survived by two sons, Harris and Delbert of New Albin, 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Also one brother, Leo Fink of Lansing, and one sister, Anne Hector of Waukon.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were his wife, who passed away July 20, 1961, and one son, Freeman, who died November 18, 1961, three sisters, Clara, Mary, and Margaret, and four brothers, Joe, Clarence, Charles, and George. He was employed by Allamakee County with the road maintenance department for 33 years until his retirement in 1953.

Pallbearers were Henry and Carl Vonderohe, John Wiemerslage, Frank Weymiller, Leslie Dresselhaus, and Albert Fruechte.
