John H. Love, lifetime resident of Allamakee County, died at the Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, July 11th at the age of 87 years and 6 months. He was born near New Albin January 11th, 1874, the son of Abner and Mary Love. One brother and four sisters preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his death two brothers, Charles of Minneapolis, and Dan of Lansing; one sister, Anna Verdon of Barstow, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 o'clock from Burke Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the New Albin Cemetery.
