Gades Shefelbine, 68, of Dorchester, died Friday, Nov. 2, 1984, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon.

He was born July 23, 1916, in Dorchester to Albert and Clara (Goodno) Shefelbine.

He married Berniece (Haugen) Erickson on Aug. 5, 1956, in Spring Grove, MN.

He was self-employed as an electrician.

He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, Dorchester.

Survivors are his wife; two step-daughters, Lorene Stoltz of Caledonia, MN, and Pat Henry of Burr Oak; two brothers, Norris of Ottumwa and Malcom of Dorchester; and two sisters, Mary Shefelbine and Jude Lundering, both of New Albin.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Services will be on Monday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Methodist Church, Dorchester. The Revs. James Osborne and Charles Kruse will officiate. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Dorchester.

Friends may call at the Roble Funeral Home, Spring Grove, on Sunday from 2 to 0 p.m., and at the church on Monday from 1 p.m. until services.
