The late Joseph B. Zoll was born in New York City. Feb. 13, 1849, and came to Iowa with. his parents when four years old. The family lived on a farm on Silver Creek, this county. Leaving the farm he engaged in business with the late Henry Niemeier, later buying put his partner. He continued in business here until 1909. He was married to Margaret; Kelly, Oct 7, 1884, she dying March 7, 1898. To them were born six children, Mary, Charles, Martha, Anna, George and Edith. May 2. 1900 he was united in marriage to Margaret Keller and to them was born one son, Frank. In April 1916, the family moved to Minneapolis which has since been their home. Mr. Zoll's death occurred at Saint Mary's hospital, Minneapolis, following a stroke of paralysis two weeks before. The remalns arrived on the evening train Thursday last and was taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Francis Hess. The funeral was held from the Cathtblic church after a requiem mass Friday moring.
