80 Year Old Resident Dies
MRS. WILLIAM ZOLL CALLED TO REST At HOME OF V. ZOLL TUESDAY EVENING
Mrs. William Zoll passed away Tuesday evening at the home of her son. Vic, in Waukon, at the age of 80 years. She would have attained her 8lst birthday had she lived until November. Death was attributed to a stroke Mrs. Zoll suffered a week ago, and from infirmities of age. She had been in failing health for several years. Born in French Creek township, November 16. 1862, Bridget Collins was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Collins. She was educated in the rural schools. In April 61 years ago, she was united in marriage at Lycurgus to William Zoll. They observed their Golden wedding anniversary in 1932. Mr. Zoll pasted away ten year's ago.
Eleven children were born to this union. Four children preceded their mother in death. Surviving children are Mrs. Larry Byrnes, Emmet and William of Hanover township, Mrs. P. L. Welsh of Lycurgus, Francis and Vic of Waukon, Mrs. J. C. Cunningham of Langford, N. D.
One sister, Mrs. Mary Keiser of Waukon, is the only surviving member their family. Mrs. Zoll also leaves 42 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchldreh. Nine grand-sons are in the Armed forces of their country, several overseas.
Following the death of her husband. Mrs. Zoll. continued to farm in French Creek with her son William, until one year ago when she moved to town.
Services will be held Friday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic church in Hanover with the Reverend P. J. Reynolds singing the requiem mass. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Cunningham arrived this evening to attend the funeral.
