Lansing- Charles E. Hirth, 86, of Lansing, died Thursday morning at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Ia.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burke Funeral Home here, where friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Alfred of Waukon, and Herbert and John, both of Lansing; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Simth of Lansing; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Note: The surname Simth appears to be a newspaper typo and may be Smith.
