Mrs. Esther A. Pederson, 60, of 1229 E. Thirty-fifth St., died of cancer Saturday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital. She had been ill five months.

Born in Paint Creek Township near Waukon, she had lived in Des Moines 30 years. She was a retired nurse's aide.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home at Waukon, with burial at (Old) East Paint Creek Cemetery near there.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rhoda Johnson, Guttenberg, and Mrs. Bonadine ("Bonnie") Rissman, Waukon; two sons, Ezra ("Jack") Pederson, Waterloo, and Warren G. Pederson, Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Hanson and Mrs. Mabel Stock, both of Waukon, and Mrs. Pearl Foltz, Waterloo; two brothers, Herbert Larson and Theodore ("Ted") Larson, both of Waukon, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Esther A. Pederson was a daughter of Paul L. and Hannah R. (Kolsrud) Larson. Esther married John Arthur Pederson and they later divorced.
