Waukon- Afton S. Gruber, 98, of Chicago, formerly of Waukon, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in her daughter's home in Chicago following a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Martin Funeral Home, Waukon. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Rose and Lois Messmore, both of Chicago, and Mabel Schulte of Phoenix.
