Waukon, Ia., - SPECIAL: Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Elm Reformed Church for Mrs. Mary Opfer, 79, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, who died here Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willard Martin.

The Rev. Frank E. Stuckl, pastor, officiated and burial was in the Oakland Cemetery beside her husband. Casket bearers were: Gus Hansmeier, Emil Leschensky, William Peterson, Paul Dravis, Fred Meierkord, and Horace Howe.

As Mary Hager, she was born April 21, 1859, on a farm in Ludlow Township, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hager, early settlers of this vicinity. In 1879 she was married to Henry Opfer, since which time Waukon has been her home. Mr. Opfer died in 1909.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. H. A. Jensen of Minneapolis and Mrs. Martin: two sons, Ben of Minneapolis and John of St. Paul; three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Fred Ludeking and Mrs. John Opfer, both of Waukon: Mrs. Helen Kramps of Baxter, Paul Hager of Ludlow Township, and Otto and John, both of Waukon.
