Services for Gilman "Gil" Beeler, 72, New Albin, will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin.

The Rev. Robert P. Rahe will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the New Albin Funeral Chapel today from 4 to 9 p.m., with a wake service to be at 8 p.m.

Beeler died Tuesday, July 19, 1983, after having a heart attack while driving his car.

He was born Jan. 7, 1911, in Waukon to Nelson and Mary Lousie (Cassiday) Beeler. He married Esther Ryan on June 20, 1936, in Corona, Calif.

Beeler was a salesman for Triple F Feed Company.

He was a member of the Third Degree Knights of Columbus at Waukon and the Davis Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Ossian.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Mennes of Belleville, Wis.; a granddaughter; two brothers, Leland and Sylvester, both of California; and two sisters, Mrs. Norris (Elizabeth) Trader of Downey, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Johnson of La Crosse, Wis.

One brother preceded him in death.

Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, is in charge of arrangements.
