Mrs. Mary "Mayme" Rossiter, 98, formerly of New Albin, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1983, in St. Francis Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis.

She was born July 14, 1884, in New Albin to Michael and Bridget (Hurley) Moore. She married James Rossiter on June 27, 1910, in Fargo, N.D. He died in 1956.

Mrs. Rossiter had been a teacher in Iowa and North Dakota.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Oris (Constance) Hegge of La Crosse; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the New Albin Funeral Chapel on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m.

The Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, is in charge of arrangements.
