Waterville- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Old West Paint Creek Church for Mrs. Dena Thompson, 70, with the Rev. A. P. Lea, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the nearby cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died here Tuesday at her home following a several weeks illness.

As Dena Kolsrud, she was born on a farm in Allamakee County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Kolsrud. Following her marriage to Nels Thompson, the couple lived in Waukon where her husband was engaged in the machine business. About 15 years ago she came to Waterville, since her home.

Surviving are one son, Clarence; two brothers, Solve Kolsrud of Chicago and Ole of Denver, Colo.

Her husband preceded her in death.
