Walter Paus, 94, of New Albin, died Sunday, July 16 at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis.

He was born Sept. 4, 1883, in Allamakee county to Louis and Sophia (Meiners) Paus. He married Emma Wiemerslage in Eitzen, Minn., June 17, 1915. He farmed in the Eitzen area and retired to New Albin in 1965.

He is survived by a son Raymond of Dorchester, two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Norma) Fruechte and Roma Paus, both of New Albin; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Lloyd Fried will officiate.

Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
