Rudolph G. Jordan, 80, of New Albin died on Sunday, June 11, 1978, at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., after a brief illness.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1898 in Houston county, Minn., the son of Carl and Alvina (Beyer) Jordan.

On June 18, 1924, he was married to the former Minna D. Meyer in New Albin. They farmed in the New Albin area for many years.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Sigurd of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Ed of New Albin; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Ellis and Mrs. Martin (Mavis Gray, both of Marshalltown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alvin Jordan of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, at 2 p.m. at St. peter's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Lloyd Fried officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earl Crowley, Edgar Wuennecke, Harold Jordan, Paul Gade, Ray Whalen and Cleon Sires.
