Waukon- Mrs. Rena Swenson, 66, lifelong resident of this area, died Wednesday morning at a Decorah hospital where she had been undergoing treatment for a heart ailment since Monday. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Bakke and Hanson funeral home.

She was born Torena Kolsrud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solve Kolsrud, on a farm east of here on June 6, 1882. She was married to Andrew Swenson in 1905 and the couple lived on a farm near Waterville until they retired to Waukon several years ago. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church here.

She is survived by two brothers, Carl, of Waukon, and Melvin, of Elon, and three sisters, Mrs. A. T. Roe, Mrs. John Rema and Anna, all residing in or near Waukon. She was preceded by her husband and a brother.
