Waukon- Services for James Brawford, 94, pioneer Allamakee County settler, were held Thursday, and burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Brawford died Thursday in a local nursing home, where he had lived since 1953. He was born at Waukon in 1863, and was married to the former Sybil Grimm, who preceded him.

A son, James Jr., Chicago survives.
