Funeral services for Thelma R. Kelly, 80, were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Chapel, Waukon. The Rev. Dean Shelly officiated. Martin's Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Thelma R. Kelly, daughter of Oscar G. and Blanche (Nelson) Garrison, was born June 17, 1906 in Champaign, IL. She died Nov. 24, 1986 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, IA.

On March 20, 1926 she married Creston C. Kelly at Rantoul, IL. They had 3 sons.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

She was active in farm Bureau, a 4-H Club leader, Paint Creek Township Home Projects and a volunteer at Congregate Meal site.
She was preceded in death by her husband Creston in May 1969.

Surviving are 3 sons, Donald, Nashville, TN, Forest "Toey", Postville and James, Kansas City, MO, 1 sister, Rowhena Garrison, Waukon, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Gilbert Eadie, Michael Ellis, Dale Ellis, Charles Cook, Dale Roberts and LeRoy McCabe.
