Katharina "Kitty" A. McClintock, age 72, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin was placed into God's arms after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was born December 28, 1935 in Weihar, Germany to Adam and Anna (Haas) Rothermel. She was married in Mannheim, Germany on February 21, 1957 to Leo Edmund McClintock. They became the parents of one daughter. Kitty enjoyed baking, sewing, and especially shopping.

Katharina is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Leo McClintock of Rice Lake; cherished mother of Barbara McClintock of Elm Grove, Wisconsin and her sister Sonja Burkhart of Burcherwieler of Germany. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents. Interment will be held at a later date.

Note of the transcriber: Katharina's ties to Allamakee County are through her husband Leo E. McClintock who was born in Allamakee County, Iowa. He had many relatives who still reside in the area.
