Funeral services were held for Harold George Kamp at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona with burial in the Monona City Cemetery. Paul Miller of Garnavillo officiated at the Service.
Pallbearers were Albert Koehn, Walter Koehn, Verni Koehn, Oscar Beckett, Dale Hansel, and Eugene Milewsky.
Harold George Kamp, age 68, son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Kamp, was born Jan. 2, 1905 in Giard Township. They later moved to a farm northeast of Monona and he attended rural schools.
He was married to Mathilda Scheffert Jan. 1933 at Galena, Ill. and they moved to a home near McGregor. He worked as a farm hand, on the railroad for a time, and 20 years for the Daubenberger Lumberyard.
After his wife's death, he spent much of his time at the Walter Koehn residence at McGregor. He had been ailing for the last three years and made his home permanently with the Koehns, now in Monona. He had been a bed patient for the last year until his death Aug. 3, 1973.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Archie (Adeline) Adney of McGregor, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
His parents, his wife, and a sister, Mrs. Bernice Ayers, preceded him in death.
