Anna Schneider was united in marriage to Charles Goettel of Waukon on February 13, 1887. They first made their home in Castalia, later moving to Elma, Iowa and LeRoy, Minnesota, where they lived for about 30 years. To this union were born two daughter, Gretta, Mrs. Wilbur G. She married Henry Kahle on May 23, 1922. There were no children born to this union. Henry Kahle passed away in 1948.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, three brothers, John, Charles and Henry, and one sister Elizabeth Sams.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Martz and Mrs. H. J. Mahoney; three step-children, Alvin Kahle of Postville, Emma Lammert of Postville and Mabel Wagner of Clinton, Minnesota; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Lambert of Postville, Mrs. Margaret Thuerk of Postville, and Mrs. Gussie Dean of Red Wing, Minnesota; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Kahle had been in declining health for some period of time. During recent years she was cared for by her sister, Margaret Thuerk, who made her home with her.

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville, on September 14, with the Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor, officiating. Burial was at LeRoy, Minnesota.
