Alvin C. Kahle

Services for Alvin C. Kahle were conducted from St. Paul Lutheran church, Postville Monday, May 15, with the Rev. Norman Ullestad officiating. Mr. Kahle died at his home in Postville, May 12.

Alvin Christ Kahle, son of Henry J. Kahle and his wife Sophia Schroeder Kahle, was born June 10, 1899 in Postville. He was baptized August 13, 1899 and confirmed March 16, 1913 in St. Paul Lutheran church where he remained a life long member.

February 12, 1925 he was married to Louise Plaht and the couple farmed west of Postville until they retired in 1960 and moved to Postville. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Kahle was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Louise; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Emma) Lammert, Postville and Mrs. LeRoy (Mabel) Wagner, Clinton, Minnesota.

Interment was in the Postville cemetery.
