Father of Mrs. F.E. Lee Passes
Julius Boeckh, 91, of Lansing, Iowa, father of Mrs. F.E. Lee of Sycamore, passed away Tuesday, following a week's illness.Mr. Boeckh was a prominent lifelong resident of that area, and was a retired banker. He was very civic minded and interested in all projects for the welfare of his community. Active in the Masonic Lodge for years, he had been given his 50-year pin. He was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Boeckh was known here, having visited in the local home of his daughter a number of times. Despite his advanced years, he had retained all his faculties and was fairly active until his last illness. His wife passed away in 1951.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. F.E. Lee of Sycamore, Mrs. L.J. Barthell of Lansing, Iowa, J.W. Boeckh of Arlington Heights and F.E. Boeckh of International Falls, Minn., also four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Final rites are to be accorded this Friday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church at Lansing, Iowa. Masonic services will also be conducted, and interment will take place in the Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Lee entrained Thursday for Lansing and will remain there over the week end.
