Funeral services for Gerald "Jerry" Livingston were held Thursday, November 10, 1994 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's-St. Ann's Catholic Church at Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg and Father Louis J. Trzil officiated. Burial was in the Paint Rock Cemetery, rural Harpers Ferry. Pallbearers were Dave Stillwell, George Delaney, Tom Cota, Pat Houlihan, John Easley, and Dick Cota. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Houlihan, Vic Damon, Duane Scheffert, Bob Heffern, Jack Heffern, Nick Jones, Jerry Cota, Jim Williams, Jim Wachter, and Glen Fortsch.

Gerald "Jerry" Livingston was born April 6, 1947 to Leo F. and Ruth (Ferring) Livingston at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was raised on his parent's farm near Harpers Ferry and attended grade school at Waterville, Iowa. Jerry was united in marriage to Julie Madlow on September 25, 1982 at Nashua, Iowa. They had lived in Harpers Ferry and Monona, Iowa. He was self-employed.

Jerry died on Monday, November 7, 1994 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital after battling cancer for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo F. Livingston, who passed away March 15, 1994.

Jerry is survived by his wife Julie; children Glenn Livingston of Frankville, Iowa, Leah McCrea of Sac City, Iowa, Jim Livingston of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mitchell and Macey Livingston at home; his mother, Ruth Livingston of Harpers Ferry; one brother, Bob Livingston and three sisters Peg (Norm) McCormick, Jean Livingston, and Cathy (Steve) Piersch.
