Grace Mary Meyer, 72, of Caledonia died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse.

She was born Dec. 18, 1938, in New Albin, Iowa, to Stanley and Theresa (Dennis) Buege. Grace married Charles Meyer on Oct. 20, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Albin. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2001. Grace was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Church, Caledonia.

She is survived by her seven children, Vicky (Doug) Ideker of Caledonia, Tim Meyer of Neilsville, Wis., Kathy (Brian) Langen of Caledonia, Michelle (Duron) Lee of Houston, Minn., LeAnn (Jeff) Johnson of Spring Grove, Minn., Todd (Denise) Meyer of Onalaska, and Renae (Seth) Hargrove of Houston; 16 grandchildren, Angie (Sam) Morken, Heather, Amber and Mike Ideker, Paige and Tanner Langen, Vanessa, Dylan, Nathan and Rebecca Lee, Alyssa and Brianna Johnson, Macy and Sawyer Meyer, and Ethan and Izack Hargrove; two sisters, Marcella Althof of Stoddard, and Mary Blair of Wabasha, Minn.; two brothers, Robert (Joanne) Buege and Wayne (Gretchen) Buege, both of Caledonia; and three sisters-in-law, Winifred Schulte and Lois Schmitz, both of Caledonia, and Lorraine (Morris) Rollins of South St. Paul, Minn.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eleanor Meyer; and a brother, Glen Buege.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Holy Family Hall, next to the church, where a prayer service will be said at 8 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family with arrangements.
