IOWA MAN KILLED IN CYCLE CRASH

A Lansing man was killed Tuesday (26 Sep. 2000) in a motorcycle accident in the village of Mount Sterling, WI, in Crawford County.

Lavern Suhr, 51, was northbound on Hwy. 27 just north of Hwy. 171 about 8:30 p.m. when the motorcycle he was riding left the roadway and traveled 276 feet into an embankment.

Suhr, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department.

Assisting at the scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol, Seneca Fire Department and First Responders.
