Waukon - Roger Ryan, 94, died at the home of his son, John J. Ryan, Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services have tentatively been set for Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, with burial in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. The body is at the Martin Funeral Home.

Ryan was born Aug. 24, 1856 in Franklin County, N.Y. and at the age of 12 years he came with his parents to Allamakee County, settling south of Waukon.

He was married Nov. 28, 1883 to Margaret Daly at Decorah and for a number of years resided on a farm west of Waukon. They retired and moved to the city of Waukon about 25 years ago. Mrs. Ryan died several years ago. During the later years he has resided with his son John.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Joe O'Hara, French Creek township, Sister M. Roger, Dubuque, Mae, Chicago, and Margaret of Waukon; three sons, John, Waukon, Emmett, Mason City, and Frank, Eagle Grove, Ia.
