The sad news was received last Saturday by telegram of the death of Charles Widmeier, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Widmeier of this city. His death occuring that day at Omaha, Neb., after a short illness with typhoid fever.

The remains arrived here Monday at 3 p.m. in charge of his brother, Theodore, of Auburn, Neb., and the funeral, was had from the German Presbyterian church, Rev. J. H. Schlechter officiating.

Deceased was aged nineteen years and nine months. He left Lansing three years ago and will be remembered as, a bright and deserving boy. At the time of his death he held a position with an Omaha wholesale house.

His untimely death is a sore affliction to his aged parents, and family. In their bereavement they have the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
