Last Saturday evening while Geo. Robinson was returning home from New Albin his team became frightened, running away, and throwing him to the ground sustaining injuries which caused his death almost instantly. The body was found soon afterwards and removed to his brother Henry's and word sent to his brother Jno. here.

Geo. Robinson was born in county Antrim, Ireland, Jan. 10th, 1853. Died Nov. 14th, 1891.

He came to America with his parents in 1840 and resided in New York five years before coming west.

He served his country as a member of Co. I of the First Iowa Cavalry, during the Civil War. He was laid to rest Tuesday in Mount Hope cemetery by the side of his wife and mother. The funeral services were conducted by the A. O. U. W. of which he has been a member for the past eight years.
