Death of John Schinzel.-- In the Mirror of Nov. 6th, brief mention was made of the fact that Mr. John Schinzel, who removed to Wabasha, Minn., from Lansing five years ago, had fallen through a sidewalk in that city, sustaining quite severe injuries. The accident occurred about the first of April. His son, William, was with him at the time. Mr. Schinzel was a man weighing perhaps 250 lbs. The walk gave way beneath their weight, and both he and his son fell to the ground beneath, a distance of ten feet. Since then Mr. Schinzel has most of the time been confined to his home, though able to be about a part of the time. His fall no doubt resulted in internal injuries, which caused his death on Saturday last.

Mr. Schinzel was 61 years of age. He was born in Bavaria, Germany, and came to America in 1852, and to Lansing in 1861, where for some years he followed his trade as butcher. He was known far and near as the genial landlord of the St. Nicholas hotel, which he conducted for many years with much success.

He was a member of the German Society, and that organization, in connection with Humboldt Lodge, A. O. U. W., took charge of the remains on their arrival here Tuesday at noon. Interment was had in Oak Hill cemetery at 2:00 o'clock, a large number of old friends paying the last sad tribute to one who had friends wherever known, and who had not an enemy to our knowledge.

Deceased leaves a widow and one son, William. During the residence of the family here several children were buried in Oak Hill.
