Waukon, Ia. - Morris Melick, 27, son of Mrs. Henry Mellick of Union Prairie township, committed suicide Saturday by hanging himself to a beam in the barn. Ill health is ascribed as the cause of his rash act.

Besides his mother he is survived by five brothers and two sisters, namely: John Mellick of Bluffton, Ia.; Ervin, Waller, Cyril, Milton, Mrs. Robt. Ray and Mrs. John Kilpatrick, all of this vicinity.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning.
