JOHN SMEBY, aged 57 years, an old resident of Center township, died at the Hospital for the Insane at Independence on Wednesday of last week. He had been an inmate of the hospital, since last fall. Deceased was buried on Saturday at the West Paint Creek church. He was the father of Mrs. H. Larson, of New Albin.
