Waukon- Funeral services for Thomas Tierney, 34, who was fatally injured in an auto accident Nov. 2 on the Waukon-Lansing highway, were held Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Hanover township. The Rev. Joseph Krocheski officiated.

Tierney, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tierney, was born in Hanover township Sept. 15, 1916, and has spent his lifetime in this vicinity. He was married to Mary Schulte of Waterloo township in July 1939.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Theresa, Mary Margaret and Kathryn; his mother, a brother, Charles, of Hanover township, and two sisters, Mrs. Paul Magner, Calmar, Ia., and Mrs. Clarence Schulte of Waterloo township.
