Lansing- Funeral services for William Williams, 70, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Burke chapel, the Rev. C. H. Willemssen officiating, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Williams died shortly before noon Tuesday after the exertion of pushing a car brought on a heart attack.
Williams was a son of John and Elizabeth Williams and was born at McGregor April 22, 1879. He was a Lansing resident for 48 years during which he was employed on the river and in his late years supplied herbs and roots for a drug firm. He married Minnie Olloff in 1902. His wife, three sons and a daughter survive, Russell and William of Lansing, Levi of Trempealeau, Wis., and Myrtle of Dubuque; four sisters, Mrs. Fanny Jennings and Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth of Mankato, Minn., and Mrs. Rhoda See and Mrs. Ruth Ross of Minneapolis; one brother, Thomas of Chicago. A brother, Joe, preceded her (him) in death.
