Waukon- Mrs. Mayhew W. Eaton, 91, widow of a prominent Waukon banker, died Saturday. She had been an invalid for a number of years.
The former Ella Minert, Mrs. Eaton was born on a farm in Post township Aug. 22, 1858. She was married in 1879 to Mr. Eaton, who also was a former mayor of Waukon, a stock buyer, and had been in the show and grain business. Mrs. Eaton was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are three daughters, Dora, of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. P. D. Cote and Mrs. H. G. Ludeman, both of Waukon; and two sons, Arthur, of Minneapolis, and G. W., of Waukon.
The body was taken to the Bakke-Hansen Funeral Home.
