Stephen Irving Walsh
WAUKON, Ia. -- Stephen Irving Walsh, 17, of Waukon was killed about 7 p.m. Thursday in a one-car accident 10 miles north of here on Highway 76.
Stephen was to have graduated from Waukon Senior High School on May 22.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church here, with burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, rural Waukon. Friends may call Sunday at the Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home, where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Walsh, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Marsden, all of Waukon, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Topel of Monona, Ia.

GRANDSON OF TOPELS LOSES LIFE IN ACCIDENT
Stephen Irving Walsh, son of Irving and Mary Lou Marsden Walsh, was born at Waukon on July 30, 1955 and departed this life on the evening of May 17, 1973 in a fatal one car accident 10 miles north of Waukon on Highway 76.
Stephen attended St. Patrick's School through 8th grade, then attended Waukon High School, and was one of the 204 graduates that would have graduated on Tues. evening, May 22.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Irving Walsh of Waukon. His paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. George Topel of Monona, his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Bert Marsden of Waukon, his great grandmother, Mrs. Helen Walsh, three aunts, Mrs. Melvin Wager of New Albin, Mrs. Joe Kroack of Waukon, & Mrs. Don Kouba of Cedar Rapids, one uncle, James Walsh of Waukon, other relatives, many cousins, and a host of friends.
His services were Mon., May 20 at St. Patrick's Church in Waukon. Msgr. Heles officiated with burial at West Ridge Cemetery.
