Lansing, Ia., Feb. 1 - Funeral services for Waldemar Roese, former resident of Allamakee county were held at Sioux City Wednesday. Burial was made in Woodlawn cemetery there. Mr. Roese was born at the family home near here in 1884, leaving for Sioux City with his parents in 1912.

Surviving are his widow, one brother, Bernard, Elon, Ia., and one sister, Mrs. Louis Jeglum, Fortuna, S.D.

Waukon, Ia., Feb. 1 - Waldermar E. Roese, who was born and raised on a farm east of Waukon, died last week in Sioux City, Ia. Burial was made there, his brother, Bernard Roese of near Waukon being in attendance at the funeral.

Mr. Roese was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Roese, and was born here Jan. 1, 1884. In 1912 he, in company with his parents, moved to Sioux City to reside. Several years later his father dies and in 1927, Mrs. Roese died.

He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Nora Coney of Sioux City, one sister, Mrs. Louise Jeglum of Fortuna, N.D., and a brother, Bernard, of Waukon.
