Waukon, Ia., Jan. 27 - Waukon relatives were apprised of the death of W.O. Bock, a former Allamakee resident who died at his home in La Crosse, Monday. Funeral services were held at New Albin, his former home, Wednesday, and burial was made in the New Albin cemetery.

Mr. Bock was born in Sweden in 1859 and when a boy came with his parents to Allamakee county, settling in Lansing, where he grew to manhood. He then went to New Albin where with H.P. Lane he engaged in the mercantile business and later with his father-in-law, J.M. Tartt, for a period of almost 40 years. He was postmaster there for several terms. He was elected clerk of courts of Allamakee county for two terms. Since his removal to La Crosse he had been engaged in the insurance business.

He was married to Miss Cora Tartt of New Albin, who died several years ago. Their son, Forrest, died after growing to manhood.
